"Trusting and helping a stranger over the phone"

A review of Hospitality Shop by Mrs. Dunn written on Sunday 16th of March 2025

I telephone the shop with a very strange request -asking if they can deliver some newspaper to Ward 54. My husband was there longer than expected and had no money ,so I decided to call the shop with a BIG HOPE that they will facilitate me and I was willing to pay over the telephone.

To my great, unexpected surprised! the shop person "Lynda" said that she would pay for the papers and that I can pay the shop the very next day that I am visiting my husband! I was so overwhelmed that she would do that for a complete stranger! I immediately called the Ward and they said that they would send someone down to collect the papers.

Within less than 5mins, my husband had the papers in his hand!

I am so, so grateful for the kindness that Lynda showed to me! and it is nice to know that there are still some kind people in the world.

Words cannot express how I feel and once again thank you Lynda!
