"Grumpy and unhelpful"

A review of Chester Radio Taxis by Maggie written on Tuesday 23rd of July 2019

We were moving my son from one room to another room one street away. He booked and was told it was classed as a house move

The very grumpy taxi driver licence no 4041 parked at the end of chicester street ( about s 1/3 of the journey away!) my son carried 2. Bags to the taxi then the driver scowled and huffed and was very stroppy when I asked him to move closer! He managed eventually to do so and we put the remaining stuff in the cab he never offered to help just walked around talking on the phone we drove round the corner and we unloaded the bits to the new room in the house in Bouverie st

the meter which was obviously switched on when originally parked read £3.90 at the end

Then we charged £24! Can someone explain what the £20 extra was for? The driver charged us waiting time via the meter he didn’t lift a finger to help

Now I live in London and use black cabs. The drivers always help - open the door, carry a bag - and are courteous no of which this driver was none of

I feel very disappointed.
